Shipping policy

This website is operated by Nina's Axolotl Nursery. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Nina's Axolotl Nursery. Nina's Axolotl Nursery offers this website, including all information, tools and services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here. 

SECTION 1 - NO SHIPPING TO STATES THAT IT IS ILLEGAL TO OWN AN AXOLOTL IN. 

Axolotls are illegal only in certain states such as California, Maine, New Jersey, New Mexico, and Virginia.  We only ship axolotls throughout the United States.

SECTION 2 - GENERAL

Subject to stock availability. We try to maintain accurate stock counts on all of your products but from time-to-time, there may be a stock discrepancy and we will not be able to fulfill all of your items at the time of purchase. In this instance, we will fulfill the available products to you, and contact you about whether you would prefer to await restocking of the back-ordered item(s) or if you would prefer for us to process a refund.

SECTION 3 - SHIPPING COSTS

Shipping costs are a flat fee of $20 unless Priority Mail Express is chosen at checkout. Express rates differ for location.

SECTION 4 - DELIVERY TIMES

4.1 Transit Time Domestically

In general, domestic shipments are in transit for 1-3 days

4.2 Dispatch Time

Orders are only shipped out on Mondays, Tuesdays. Some Wednesday are permitted depending on location

4.3 Change of Delivery Address

For a change of delivery address requests, we can change the address at any time before the order has been dispatched.

4.4 P.O. Box Shipping

We currently do not ship to P.O. boxes.

4.5 Military Address Shipping

We are able to ship to military addresses using USPS. We are unable to offer this service using courier services.

4.6 Items Out of Stock

If an item is out of stock, we will cancel and refund the out-of-stock items and dispatch the rest of the order.

4.7 Delivery Time Exceeded

If the delivery time has exceeded the estimated time, please contact us so that we can investigate.

SECTION 5 - TRACKING NOTIFICATIONS

Upon dispatch, customers will receive a tracking link from which they will be able to follow the progress of their shipment based on the latest updates made available by the shipping provider.

SECTION 6 - PACKAGE LOST IN TRANSIT

6.1 Process for parcel lost in transit

We will process a refund or replacement as soon as the courier has conducted an investigation and deemed the parcel lost.

SECTION 7 - TAXES

7.1 Sales Tax

Sales tax has already been applied to the price of the goods as displayed on the website.

SECTION 8 - CANCELLATIONS

If you change your mind before you have received your order, we are able to accept cancellations at any time before the order has been dispatched. If an order has already been dispatched, please refer to our refund policy.

SECTION 9 - DEAD ON ARRIVAL

9.1 Dead On Arrival of Axolotl

If by some chance your axolotl does not arrive alive, you have one hour from the time of delivery to give us a photo/video showing the axolotl in its unopened, original shipping bag. We will either ship a free replacement or issue a refund minus shipping costs. Shipping costs will be covered for a replacement. We may ask that you upgrade to Overnight Express Delivery, depending on circumstances. This will include a small fee.

If you, or an authorized representative are not present for a delivery attempt, the live arrival guarantee is null and void. If it was agreed upon that the animal(s) would be held at the carrier's facility, the package(s) must be picked-up within 3 hours of arrival at the said facility.

If you give us a delivery address that is not valid, the live arrival guarantee is voided.

We are not responsible for carrier delays, but will make exceptions on a case-by-case basis.

9.2 Dead On Arrival of Axolotl Eggs

Alive arrival is guaranteed. If eggs are delivered and are not viable, please send a photo no later than 1 hour after delivery for proof in order to issue a refund. Buyer accepts this policy and knows that after eggs are delivered (as long as they are delivered healthy) that a hatch rate guarantee is not offered.

SECTION 10 - Refusal of service

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at our own discretion.
